The Service

GNET NBN is a broadband service offering fast speed Internet access with a monthly data allowance. We currently offer 12/1Mbps and 25/5Mbps speeds (other speeds may be available upon request depending on the condition of your coper line). Once your monthly data allowance has been used your speed will be reduced (shaped). All our NBN plans are shaped at 1/1Mbps. All plans include a free data boost option. This allows customers 3 data boosts per calendar year at no additional cost. A data boost gives you another monthly data allowance to use until the end of the current calendar month. You can use multiple data boosts per calendar month until all 3 data boosts have been utilised for the year. If you find this is still not giving you enough data we recommend you upgrade your plan to avoid shaping. To get the data boost applied to your account simply request it when you need it.

Mandatory Components

To receive our NBN service your residence will need to be within an NBN coverage area. You can check your location by contact us or looking up your address on the NBN address check. Your residence may require an NTD (network termination device) to be installed if it has not been. We can provide a compatible router with built in Wi-Fi and a technician to install at an additional cost if required.

Minimum term

The service is available with a minimum term of 12 months.

Information About Pricing & Payment

Minimum Monthly Charge & Payment

You will be able to access your invoices via the my.gnet.live portal. Any additional call charges made during the month will appear on the next invoice. You can make payment via credit/debit card or direct debit. For each of these methods you can setup an ongoing arrangement or pay manually. Paying by Visa/Mastercard card will incur a 1.75% surcharge being added to the invoice the following month.

Any cabling that is required in your premises beyond the Network Boundary point is your responsibility. If you are in a new development and not already connected to the nbn network, a $300 nbn co New Development Charge may also apply.

Maximum Monthly Charge

All monthly costs are the maximum we charge. There are NO excess usage charges on data. Invoices which are paid 7 days later then due date will incur a late fee charge of $15 or 10% (whichever is higher) added to the invoice amount.

Early Termination Charges

If you cancel your service within your 12-month contract period an early termination charge of $150 applies.

Other Information

Usage Information

For data services with a data limit, you will be sent an email when your service reaches 50%, 85% and 100% of your data allowance. Usage is not provided for unlimited data services. You may view your current usage anytime by going to http://usage.gnet.live when on our network. Your unused monthly data allowance expires each month. Once your allowance has been reached your speed will be shaped for the remainder of the billing cycle.
